From a young age, I was captivated by the arts, with a particular affinity for drawing and painting. Despite a fulfilling 40-year career in the IT and Software industry, working with esteemed companies such as HP, Microsoft, and Emerset as a partner, I consistently nurtured my artistic side during my leisure. In 2018, I embraced art as my full-time vocation.
My formal art education commenced with the “Art in the Technology Era” course at the Open University between 1980-1982. Beyond that, I am largely self-taught, having cultivated my skills through independent study.
My artwork is predominantly abstract, drawing inspiration from my native city of Haifa, Israel. The urban and natural vistas of my surroundings find expression in my paintings. I employ diverse materials, including wood and mechanical tools, to forge textured pieces using non-traditional techniques. Each work represents a tapestry of memories, events, and emotions, conveyed with a vibrant color scheme that echoes Haifa’s radiant sunlight.
My creative process is deeply intertwined with my love for community and culture. The quotidian life fuels my exploration into the nuances and emotions prevalent in modern society.
Expanding my artistic horizons, I have also explored sculpture. My sculptures, crafted from repurposed electronic boards, reflect my deep respect for nature and embody an eco-conscious ethos.
In the recent year (2023), I ventured into the realm of digital art, utilizing Krita software to produce digital masterpieces.
